i've purchased this item but i don't it's not working. what should i do?

The problem it's connecting but the it won't work. can somebody please tell me what seems to be the problem?
does it require an installation. the keybored works on my old computer b/c u dont need it connects stright to the computer.
I will tell you one thing about that product is that it is being sold from china, everytime I purchase a computer related item from a foreign country it never works! and that is why that thing is only .99
